Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey was a hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th of 1998. There are 12 WTA titles throughout her career, which includes her Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. As a doubles player, she's an excellent player. She's taken home two Majors in the past with Elisemertens including the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. Then she also won the Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open with Elise Mertens. Only four women's pairings could have done this feat. On 23 August 2021 she climbed to the second spot in the world singles ranking her highest ranking was again reached in January 2023. She climbed up to the top of singles rankings the following year, after winning in Melbourne. It made her the only Belarusian tennis player to succeed in her field. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach in 2018 until the season ended in 2019, and also for a short duration in the year 2020. It was also a short time that she teamed up with Dieter Kindlmann from August to September 2020. As of the year 2020's end, she's been instructed by her countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova have been her biggest idols.
